A guide to the essentials of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

The CSRD came into force on January 1, 2024. This new directive gradually requires over 50,000 European companies to publish extra-financial reporting, in addition to their financial reporting. The aim is clear: to harmonize companies’ sustainability reporting and improve the quality and accuracy of published ESG (environmental, social and governance) data. But what are the new requirements imposed by the CSRD, and how do you comply with them? Find out in this course. Important – April 2025 update: as part of the Omnibus bill, the European Commission is proposing amendments to the current CSRD directive (see details in the introductory slide of the course). These proposals have not yet been voted on by the European Parliament and Council.
